“Social Media Fans Won’t Fill Any Stadium For You” – Burna Boy Tells Fellow Artists

Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has warned his fellow artists not to be misled by social media hype, especially from Nigerian fans on platforms like Twitter.

In a post shared on his Instagram story, Burna Boy advised other musicians not to get carried away by likes, retweets, or online praise.

The singer said that online popularity doesn’t always translate to real-world support, like selling out concerts or filling stadiums abroad.

He stressed that just because people support you on Twitter doesn’t mean they’ll actually buy tickets or show up for your shows in real life—especially on an international level.

“Dear artistes, don’t let Twitter polls and “Naija social media fans” deceive you. They won’t fill up any stadium for you in any part of the world,” Burna Boy wrote.

KanyiDaily recalls that veteran musician Konga recently accused Burna Boy of using his lyrics and rhythm without acknowledgment.
