I Won’t Run for Public Office Or Accept Government Appointment Again In Nigeria – Pat Utomi

Professor Pat Utomi, a political economist, has announced that he has no plans to run for any public office in Nigeria again.

Speaking during an interview on “Politics Today” on Channels Television, Utomi also made it clear that he won’t accept any government appointments or contracts.

Let me state clearly: I will not run for public office, I will not accept an appointment, contract by any government in Nigeria,” he said.

Pat Utomi added that his focus is now solely on securing a better future for the younger generation.

My only concern is the well-being of the next generation. ’ve lived my life without relying on government funds or taking what doesn’t belong to me.

“I’m saying this to shut down the idea that I’m chasing contracts or political favors,” he added.
