The remains, which landed around 1:59 p.m, was accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and several members of Buhari’s family.
Buhari’s body, draped in the Nigerian flag, was brought down from the Nigerian Air Force aircraft by officials of the Nigerian Military at the airport.
At the airport to receive the body were Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda, members of the state’s executive council, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibril, and other dignitaries, along with more of the late president’s relatives.
From there, the body will be taken to Daura, where Buhari will be laid to rest following a military farewell.
