Two Lovers Arrested For Allegedly Killing Their Chinese Employer In Ogun

The Nigeria Police Force have arrested two lovers for allegedly killing a Chinese man, Mr. Chen Wang, who worked for WH Great Resource Ltd. in Ogere, Ogun State.

Police spokesperson, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, said the arrests followed a well-planned investigation led by police intelligence units.

He said Mr. Wang was stabbed in the chest and died from the injuries before he was found in his office on January 12, 2025.

Adejobi explained that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, had ordered the Force’s Technical Intelligence Unit to support the Ogun State police with the case.

Investigations uncovered that two factory workers suspected to be in a romantic relationship took advantage of reduced staffing on the day of the incident.

“While on overtime duty, they allegedly disabled the company’s security system, unlawfully accessed Mr. Wang’s office and committed the fatal attack.

“They subsequently stole the keys to his residence, which they later burgled before fleeing the state with stolen cash,” he said.

Adejobi revealed that after weeks of tracking, the suspects were arrested on July 14, 2025, in Jos, Plateau State.

Police said the suspects had been using fake identities to hide, noting that digital tools like forensics, biometric data, and surveillance played a big role in locating them.

He identified the suspects as 25-year-old Yunusa Abdullahi from Borno State and 20-year-old Peace Keno Danlami from Taraba State.

ACP Adejobi praised the teamwork between the Ogun State Police, Force Headquarters, and intelligence units.

According to him, the arrests show the police are serious about protecting both Nigerians and foreigners through advanced investigation methods.

He added that the suspects are now in custody and will be charged in court once the investigation is complete.

KanyiDaily also reported how the Nigeria Police, through INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau in Abuja, arrested and sent back to China a wanted Chinese national named Chen Gaochong.
