Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has passed away at the age of 71.

According to a report by TMZ Sports, emergency responders rushed to his home in Clearwater, Florida, early Thursday morning after receiving a call about a suspected cardiac arrest.
Several police officers and medical personnel were seen at the scene, and Hulk Hogan was taken from the house on a stretcher and placed into an ambulance.
The World Wrestling Entertainment confirmed his death in a statement, “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.
“One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
The wrestling icon’s cause of death has not been disclosed at the time of filing this report.
Just a few weeks ago, his wife, Sky, had denied online rumors that he was in a coma, claiming at the time that his heart was strong and that he was recovering well from recent surgeries.
Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, played a huge role in taking professional wrestling from a niche sport to a global entertainment powerhouse.
In the 1980s, he became the face of the WWE, thanks to his charisma, signature look, and crowd-pleasing personality, which helped the sport attract a massive mainstream audience.
In a bold move in 1996, Hogan changed his image from hero to villain, forming the famous New World Order (NWO) group and rebranding himself as “Hollywood Hogan.” The reinvention gave his career a second wind and sparked a new era in wrestling.
He was first inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005. But in 2015, he was removed after a private video surfaced in which he made racist comments.
Hogan later sued the website Gawker over the leaked footage and won a major court case. In 2020, WWE welcomed him back into the Hall of Fame – this time as a member of the NWO.
Outside the ring, Hogan made a name for himself in the entertainment world. He made his acting debut in Rocky III in 1982 and later starred in films like No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, and Mr. Nanny.
In the 2000s, he was the star of Hogan Knows Best, a VH1 reality show that followed his family life with his then-wife Linda and their two kids, Nick and Brooke.
Hulk Hogan’s legacy stretches far beyond wrestling. He helped shape the modern era of sports entertainment and left a lasting impact on pop culture.
