Ademola Lookman Deletes Atalanta Instagram Posts As He Eyes Inter Milan Transfer

Ademola Lookman, a Nigerian international and winger for Atalanta, has deleted all content related to the Italian club from his Instagram page, following tensions over a potential move to Inter Milan.

This comes after Atalanta turned down Inter’s latest offer of €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons for the 27-year-old.

Despite Ademola Lookman and Inter reportedly agreeing on personal terms, Atalanta is holding firm on its €60 million valuation.

On Friday, Lookman unfollowed Atalanta on Instagram, removed the club’s name from his bio, and deleted all photos of himself in their jersey, including his profile picture.

He was also absent from the squad for Atalanta’s pre-season match against RB Leipzig in Germany on Saturday.

Local reports said he’s dealing with a calf injury and is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks.

Ademola Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 for €10.8 million. He’s since become a key figure at the club, scoring 52 goals in 118 appearances.

His standout moment came in the 2023/24 Europa League final, where he netted a hat-trick to secure Atalanta’s first-ever European trophy.

He currently holds the CAF African Footballer of the Year title, taking over from fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen, who won it in 2023.
