Premier League side, Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a €20 million offer to Spanish club Getafe for Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche as they continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the bid in a post on X, saying: “Wolves have submitted official bid to Getafe worth €20m for Christantus Uche. Negotiations underway to get deal done as #WWFC want new striker asap.”
While Romano described Uche as a potential striker option, the 22-year-old is better known as a versatile midfielder, admired for his energy, defensive discipline, and ability to push forward in attack.
Uche only joined Getafe last summer from Ceuta, but quickly became one of their standout players. He featured in 33 league matches, scoring four goals.
His performance in Getafe’s 2-0 victory over Celta Vigo, where he scored once, provided an assist, and earned Man of the Match honours, further underlined his growing reputation.
The Nigerian’s rapid rise has drawn interest from several European clubs, but Wolves appear to be in pole position as they seek more creativity and depth in midfield.
Should the transfer go through, it would be Uche’s first spell in the English Premier League and add his name to the growing list of Nigerian internationals making waves in England’s top flight.
KanyiDaily recalls that AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen recently reached a verbal agreement for Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, with the Serie A side now working on the paperwork to finalize the deal.
