The backlash against Iyabo Ojo came after her involvement in controversies surrounding the late Mohbad, Sam Larry, Naira Marley, and criticisms from long-time colleague Lizzy Anjorin.
In an Instagram post, Toyin Abraham explained that she had stayed quiet while supporting Iyabo privately but has now decided to speak out.
The actress warned that her patience has run out and she’s prepared to respond openly, adding that she hopes people will not accuse her of overreacting to the issue.
She wrote, “Aunty mi, Aunty Iyabo… I’ve watched you get bullied for months. I stayed silent, fighting with you in spirit, hoping they’d stop.
“But they didn’t. Now, I’m about to react — and I pray the world won’t call it overreacting. Because this time, I’m going to OVERDO it. Not just as a mum……but as the Oversabi that I am. Let’s go.”
Iyabo responded in the comments, asking Abraham to stay calm and promising her love:
“Baby, hold your peace. I love you,” she replied.
The exchange, which has since been deleted, sparked reactions online. Fans praised Toyin Abraham for defending her friend, while others agreed with Iyabo Ojo’s advice to remain composed.
KanyiDaily recalls that Toyin Abraham previously responded after facing backlash for taking action against her online bullies.
