KanyiDaily recalls that Anthony Joshua suffered only minor injuries in the crash, which happened on December 29 along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.
His personal trainer, Kevin Latif Ayodele, and his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, both died at the scene.
Reports said the Lexus SUV carrying Joshua and his team crashed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside.
The boxer received medical treatment in Nigeria before being discharged.
He later travelled back to the United Kingdom with the bodies of his late trainer and coach.
Anthony Joshua also attended the funeral prayers for Latif and Ghami at a mosque in London.
About 19 days after the accident, the 36-year-old shared videos of himself back in the gym.
One clip showed him sparring, which he captioned as “mental strength therapy.”
He also shared footage of other workout routines, including strength training, spinning sessions, and swimming, signalling a gradual return to full fitness.
KanyiDaily recalls that a Magistrate Court in Sagamu, Ogun State, fixed January 20, 2026, for the trial of the driver of a Lexus SUV involved in Anthony Joshua’s road accident.
