Bimbo Ademoye Decries Copyright Claim On YouTube Movie ‘Where Love Lives’

Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has raised concerns after her YouTube movie, Where Love Lives, was hit with a copyright claim that led to its demonetisation.

Where Love Lives, which was released in December 2025, has recorded more than 18 million views.

In a series of posts on Instagram, Bimbo Ademoye said the issue started when an individual claimed ownership of a song used in the film, even though she holds full rights to it.

The actress also alleged that the same person uploaded the song to Spotify and other music platforms, presenting himself as the original composer.

Bimbo demanded that the copyright claim be removed within an hour and warned that she would take further action if it was not resolved.

The actress said she was shocked to wake up and find that her movie had been blocked from earning revenue over a song she owns.

She appealed to anyone who knew the individual involved, identified as Lagos Sound or Emmanuel Davies, to contact him and urge him to reverse the claim immediately.

The actress insisted that the song belongs to her and accused the individual of falsely claiming credit and interfering with her earnings from the film.

Bimbo Ademoye wrote: “I woke up to my hard work wanting to be stolen from me. Please if anyone knows who lagos sound /emmanuel Davies is! Tell to lift the copyright from my movie in the next 1 hour. I’m not one to threaten people.

“But emmanuel, you have 1 hour to lift that copyright from My movie . A song I completely own the rights to , you took it ,uploaded it named yourself the composer and blocked me from making money from my own swear. Emmanuel Davies!.

“YOU HAVE 1 HOUR. I’d place a bounty on your head and when I find you. You’d wish you never did this. First Anwuli (who I’m still coming for, now this) whoever knows lagos sound/ emmanuel Davies should warn him now!! Before i handle this MY OWN WAY!”.

KanyiDaily recalls that Bimbo Ademoye recently caused a buzz online after a video of her shopping in disguise at a busy Lagos market surfaced on social media.
