In an emotional video, Peter claimed that his elder brother, Jude Okoye, his twin brother, Paul Okoye, and their late mother did not accept Lola after she became pregnant with their first child, Cameron, in 2008.
According to him, his brothers were unhappy when he announced the pregnancy at an award event, believing the news could negatively affect the group’s music career.
He further alleged that his family opposed the pregnancy and repeatedly urged him to ask Lola to terminate it.
Peter also claimed that someone created fake emails to damage Lola’s reputation by falsely claiming that he was not the father of the child.
Peter Okoye said the situation became even more painful after his son Cameron was born.
He alleged that during a family meeting, Lola was made to sit on the floor while his late mother and siblings told her to leave him.
The singer also claimed that Jude insulted and threatened Lola in his presence and allegedly referred to Cameron as a bastard.
Following Peter’s remarks, Paul Okoye reacted on his X page with a short message in memory of their late mother.
“Unfortunately you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum,” Paul wrote.
The public disagreement between the Okoye brothers has continued to attract widespread attention as they share their accounts of the long-running family dispute.
