An 18-year-old boy, Johnson Daniel, has been arrested for allegedly killing his friend after a disagreement in Owo, Ondo State.

It was gathered that the incident happened at about 4:00 p.m. on Thursday by the roadside in the community, leaving many residents shocked and saddened.
Eyewitnesses claimed the suspect stabbed the victim, Amos Ariyo, in the chest during an argument and then ran away from the scene.
The spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the incident in a statement released to journalists in Akure, the state capital.
Jimoh explained that early investigations suggest the suspect stabbed the victim during a dispute.
He added that the victim was quickly taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owo, where doctors confirmed him died on arrival.
Police detectives later visited the scene and recovered the knife believed to have been used in the attack.
Jimoh noted that the suspect has since been arrested after fleeing the scene.
He added that the case has now been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
