Governor Oborevwori’s Aide Sunday Kotor Slumps And Dies In Delta

Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has expressed sadness over the death of his Senior Special Assistant on Protocol, Sunday Kotor.

Governor Oborevwor described Kofor’s death as a painful loss for both the government and Delta people.

Kotor was said to have collapsed during a private event on Friday evening, March 20.

He was taken to a hospital but could not be revived and was later pronounced dead.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the governor praised Kotor for his commitment to his duties.

“Late Sunday Kotor was wholly dedicated to his job. His passing is a huge loss, not only to his family but to the government and people of Delta State,” the statement read.

The governor also extended his condolences to Kotor’s family, including his younger brother, Conference Kotor, who also works with the administration.

Sunday Kotor was well known at Government House in Asaba for handling protocol duties and coordinating events.

He also worked as a master of ceremonies under past governors such as Emmanuel Uduaghan and Ifeanyi Okowa.

He studied Mass Communication at Delta State University and was from Okwagbe in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
