The drama followed the premiere of “The Return of Arinzo’, the new movie by actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo, which took place in Lagos on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
The event attracted several top names in the film industry, including Rita Dominic, Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, and many others.
However, the glamorous night was overshadowed by fresh tension between Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele.
A video that later went viral showed Toyin walking up to Funke’s table twice in an attempt to greet her, but Funke appeared not to respond on both occasions.
Toyin subsequently moved on, greeting Ojo and other movie stars before leaving the area immediately.
Following the event, Toyin reportedly took things further by unfollowing Funke on Instagram and commenting on a post about the incident, which was later deleted, saying she would never greet her again.
“I have unfollowed her. God forbid bad thing. If I ever greet her again that means I am a bastard,” she wrote.
Although Funke did not publicly address the situation, reports said she also unfollowed Toyin, adding more fuel to the growing speculation of a feud between the two actresses.
KanyiDaily recalls that Toyin Abraham recently blocked a social media influencer who made an inappropriate comparison between her and Funke Akindele.
