Toyin Abraham Blocks Social Media Influencer Who Compared Her With Funke Akindele

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has blocked a social media influencer who made an inappropriate comparison between her and her colleague, Funke Akindele.

The much-publicized feud between Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham came to an end in 2023 when the two reconciled and celebrated each other’s birthdays.

However, Twitter influencer Adetutu Balogun incurred the wrath of Toyin Abraham when she poked fun at Toyin and Mercy Aigbe, drawing a comparison with Funke Akindele’s box office success.

Toyin Abraham stirred up a social media storm when she blocked the influencer after she predicted that Funke Akindele’s movie would gross N1 billion.

KanyiDaily had reported the widespread congratulations Funke Akindele received for her movie, “A Tribe Called Judah,” becoming the first in Nollywood to achieve a 1 billion box office milestone.

Amidst the congratulations, there are speculations that Toyin Abraham might be harboring feelings of jealousy, given that both actresses released their films around the same time, but Toyin did not attain the same viewership.

In a Yoruba tweet, Adetutu claimed that Funke Akindele would continue to soar above Toyin and Mercy because they don’t operate on the same level.

This tweet however prompted the actress to blocked her.
