The match, which was one of the main attractions at WrestleMania 42, ended in dramatic fashion as the 27-year-old Nigerian star dominated the 10-time WWE Champion.
Following the matchbon Sunday, Brock Lesnar left his gear in the ring, a move that is often seen in wrestling as a sign that a performer is retiring from the sport.
Oba Femi, nicknamed “The Ruler,” is a former NXT champion who has only spent about three months on WWE’s main roster.
The fight started with both men sizing each other up, testing strength and control.
Lesnar gained the upper hand for a short time with a series of attacks, but Femi held his ground and soon turned things around.
Although Brock Lesnar managed to hit his signature F5, Femi quickly bounced back.
He followed up with a chokeslam and sealed the win with his “Fall From Grace” sit-out powerbomb to secure the pin.
The result quickly sparked reactions online, with many fans surprised by the outcome.
Before joining WWE, Femi was a shot put athlete. He has won the NXT Championship twice and also held the NXT North American title once.
Born in Lagos, Oba Femi took part in track and field events during his school years before signing with WWE in 2021 through its NIL programme.
He later went on to win the 2023 NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament and the 2024 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge.
Speaking after WrestleMania on Sunday, Femi called out Roman Reigns, known as the “Original Tribal Chief,” hinting at a possible title challenge later in the year, which drew a strong reaction from the crowd.
