This follows a viral video showing officers trying to collect phones from a group of young men during a stop-and-search operation.
In the video, one of the men is seen struggling with a police officer to get his phone back.
Reacting to the incident, the police command said the action was taken after receiving complaints backed by evidence of misconduct.
The statement added that the officers involved are now facing an orderly room trial, while investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
