Presiden Tinubu Visits Jos After Killing Of 28 People In Deadly Attack

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Jos, Plateau State, following the recent deadly attack in Jos North Local Government Area that claimed at least 28 lives and left 22 others injured.

The President arrived with a senior Federal Government delegation and was welcomed by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, other government officials, and traditional rulers.

The visit is intended to allow the President to assess the security situation firsthand and show solidarity with the victims and communities affected by the violence.

The attack, which triggered widespread anger and raised tensions across the state, also led authorities to strengthen security measures, including the temporary enforcement of a curfew.

The incident has also sparked strong public calls for accountability and clear answers.

Before Tinubu’s arrival on Thursday, the Plateau State Government had appealed to residents to stay alert while expressing hope that the steps already being taken would help restore lasting peace to the area.

KanyiDaily recalls that the Plateau Government announced a 48-hour curfew in Jos North Local Government Area after the deadly attack in the Angwan Rukuba area.
