According to the Mirror UK, Victor Udoh was found dead in Abuja “under suspicious circumstances,” although the exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

It was gathered that Udoh had recently returned to Nigeria after leaving Czech club Dynamo České Budějovice, which he joined following his exit from Southampton in 2025.

Both Southampton and Royal Antwerp confirmed his death in separate statements, expressing sadness over the loss of their former player.

“Our thoughts are with Victor’s family, friends, and loved ones. We wish them much strength, support, and warmth during this particularly difficult time.”

Victor Udoh joined Royal Antwerp’s academy in 2023 after moving from Abuja-based club Hypebuzz.

During his time with the club’s reserve side, he scored 12 goals in 21 matches and later earned promotion to the first team, where he made 28 appearances.

His performances in Belgium attracted attention and eventually earned him a move to Southampton on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

After departing the English club, he continued his career in the Czech Republic with Dynamo České Budějovice.
