Portable Survives Car Accident While Preparing For Son’s Naming Ceremony [Video]

Nigerian singer Portable has revealed that he survived a car accident after his vehicle reportedly experienced brake failure in Ogun State on Thursday night, just a day before his son’s naming ceremony.

In a video shared on Instagram, Portable showed his damaged car, which ended up in a ditch, explaining that the brakes suddenly failed, but he managed to get out of the situation without injury.

Portable also expressed gratitude to God, saying he was thankful that the situation did not end in tragedy.

The accident happened only hours before the naming ceremony of his newborn son, scheduled for May 9.

He also revealed that he had already prepared for the event by purchasing two cows.

“My fans, join me in thanking God. I was just driving out this evening when the accident happened,” he said.

“I am fine. I came out unhurt. I suddenly realised that the brakes had failed. My people have arrived here at the scene. I thank God they are not here to collect my corpse.

“I have already bought two cows for my son’s naming ceremony. Thank God the accident didn’t happen while a trailer was passing on the road.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Portable’s son, named Jamal Iremide, was born on the same day the singer also lost a celebrity boxing match to Carter Efe by unanimous decision.
