The demonstration was led by Omoyele Sowore, with participants chanting slogans as they accused the company of unfair pricing.
The protesters called for immediate action, saying the charges for data and other services were too high and not justified by the quality being delivered.
One of the demonstrators complained that many Nigerians pay large sums for data but do not receive the value they were promised, insisting that MTN should reduce its prices and improve service delivery.
“We demand that MTN immediately stop all the exorbitant charges, we need quality service in the country,” the protester said.
“Last week, someone complained that he paid a huge amount of money but he was not given the data. That’s the story of many Nigerians.”
Activist Mama P said, “I will advise every Nigerian to join this struggle because it affects our daily lives. How can I be paying ₦11,000 for data every two days? I’ve shown everyone here the receipt, this is theft. “
