Massimiliano Allegri Replaces Antonio Conte As Napoli Head Coach
Napoli have confirmed the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as their new manager, with the experienced Italian signing a deal that will keep him at the club until June 2029.

The 58-year-old takes over from Antonio Conte, who stepped down at the end of May after spending two seasons with the Serie A side.
During his time in charge, Conte guided Napoli to the 2024-25 Serie A title before leading them to a second-place finish the following season.
Allegri joins Napoli after leaving AC Milan, where he was dismissed at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
The move also marks a return to a club he briefly represented as a player during the 1997-98 season.
Napoli delayed announcing the appointment until Massimiliano Allegri officially completed the process of ending his contract with Milan.
Widely regarded as one of Italy’s most successful managers, Allegri first won the Serie A title with Milan in 2011 before enjoying a highly successful spell at Juventus.
Between 2014 and 2019, he led Juventus to five straight Serie A championships, four consecutive Coppa Italia trophies, and two Italian Super Cups.
Allegri also guided the club to the UEFA Champions League final on two occasions, in 2015 and 2017.
He returned to Juventus in 2021 and added another Coppa Italia title in 2024 before beginning a second spell at Milan for the 2025-26 season.
His second stint at the San Siro, however, lasted just one year. Milan parted ways with Allegri after the team finished fifth in Serie A and failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, having managed only two victories in their final eight league matches.
His exit came during a major shake-up at the club, which also saw sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada, and chief executive Giorgio Furlani leave their positions.
Throughout his coaching career, Allegri has won six Serie A titles, five Coppa Italia trophies, and three Italian Super Cups. He has also been named Serie A Coach of the Year twice.
