Speaking at a campaign rally for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate on Thursday, Okpebholo mocked Adeleke, arguing that the governor spends too much time dancing instead of focusing on the responsibilities of governing the state.

He claimed that Adeleke dances before carrying out official duties and suggested that the habit has become a symbol of poor leadership during his time in office.

Okpebholo also linked Adeleke to former Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, saying the people of Edo had already voted Obaseki out and urging Osun voters to do the same to his ally.

The Edo governor further alleged that some politicians would try to influence voters with money before the election.

He advised residents to collect any money offered to them but vote according to their conscience rather than being influenced by financial incentives.

“A lot of people ‘chopped’ Obaseki’s money, but they never voted for him. If they bring money, ‘chop’ that money from them, but don’t vote for them.

“They said they have money to spend, is that not so? Just collect the money, keep it in your pocket,” he said
