The dancer spoke during a video call with social commentator VeryDarkMan, which was shared online on Sunday.
KanyiDaily recalls that Poco Lee was detained in a UK prison and was expected to appear in court in September over alleged sexual offences.
Reflecting on the situation, Poco Lee said his biggest concern while he was away was the effect his absence could have on his associates and business activities.
He said he was particularly worried that his associates, including Rahman Jago, would struggle to handle some business matters in his absence.
Poco Lee added that knowing he had not committed the alleged offences helped him remain mentally strong throughout the ordeal.
“I was just being myself, God sees my heart, my only worries were about my people: Jago could not do anything business wise, I didn’t want to stress anyone.
“If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure.
“Nobody would have wanted to associate themselves with something like that, but Burna Boy stood by me, Jago and some of my other guys,” the dancer said.
VeryDarkMan, who posted the video call on social media, also questioned some of the reports surrounding Poco Lee’s case and praised Burna Boy and Jago for supporting the dancer.
In the caption accompanying the video, VeryDarkMan said he had spoken with Poco Lee and questioned why there had beenan agenda against the dancer.
He also urged Poco Lee to remain careful, while again commending Burna Boy and Rahman Jago for their support.
VDM wrote, “I just got off a video call with @rahman_jago_ and @poco_lee I guess the next narrative will be this is AI💀 THERE IS A REASON WHY I BRAG WITH INTEGRITY,I AM NOBODY’s mate,WHEN I TALK TAKE IT TO THE BANK…”
“You people 8 that the poco is out on bail and I don’t know why! Who did he offend? Why the agenda? Whyyyyy? We just like I told him in this video call BE CAREFUL THE WORLD IS EVVVL..big up @burnaboygram AGAIN AND AGAIN and big up @rahman_jago_”
Snaresbrook Crown Court had earlier listed September 15 for plea and trial preparation in the case.
The matter followed Poco Lee’s trip to the UK for Davido’s Friends concert, which took place at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.
Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegations against him remain before the court for determination.
