Poco Lee’s UK Sexual Offence Case Still Active Despite Release Rumours

The sexual offence case involving Nigerian dancer Poco Lee is still ongoing in the United Kingdom, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, is facing five charges at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London.

The charges include two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

James Baker, the court’s administrative team lead, confirmed that the case remains on the court calendar.

He said a plea and trial preparation hearing has been scheduled for September 15, 2026.

The confirmation comes amid reports circulating on social media that Poco Lee had been released after spending weeks in custody.

Some social media users also claimed that the person who made the complaint had withdrawn the case or that both sides had reached an agreement outside court.

Social media influencer Pamilerin Adegoke was among those who claimed the dancer had regained his freedom.

In a post on X, he simply wrote, “Poco Lee is out.”

Another user, identified as Benny, claimed that singers Burna Boy and Rahman Jago had helped secure the dancer’s release.

“Breaking: Poco Lee is now released. All thanks to Burna Boy and Rahman Jago tirelessly behind the scenes,” Benny wrote.

However, there has been no official confirmation of these claims from Poco Lee’s management or the UK court.

In response to an inquiry from PUNCH, the CPS said the case had not been discontinued and that Poco Lee was still expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court.

‘This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the service said

KanyiDaily recalls that Poco Lee’s management had earlier rejected reports suggesting that drink-spiking was among the charges against the dancer.
