Warri Pikin Apologizes To Nigerians After Timaya Lifted Her On Stage [Video]

Nigerian comedian Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has apologised over a video of her appearance on stage with singer Timaya.

The viral video showed the comedian joining Timaya during his performance and sparked reactions from social media users.

Addressing the incident on Sunday, Real Warri Pikin said what happened was unplanned and occurred while she was backstage enjoying the singer’s performance.

She explained that Timaya asked a woman to join him on stage, and she immediately responded because she was caught up in the excitement of the moment.

According to her, she did not know that Timaya planned to carry the woman during his performance of his song Ukwu.

She said she became uncomfortable when the singer asked her to jump towards him and initially refused.

Warri Pikin added that she even pleaded with Timaya not to involve her, but he encouraged her to join the performance, saying she should not interrupt his show.

Taking responsibility for her actions, the comedian apologised to Nigerians and acknowledged that she should have been more careful before going on stage.

She also revealed that her husband was upset about the incident, noting that he was in the US while he’s in Nigeria.

“Nigerians, please take it easy on me, I’m really sorry. I take full responsibility for my actions. Na me put myself for this one o. Na me use my hand put myself for this one.

“I no know say if Timaya wan perform that him song, Ukwu, him must bring woman come out outside make him carry am. I no know.

“I dey backstage dey vibe when e dey perform when he say make a lady come out. And you know me na. When it comes to vibe, anything I dey. Na him I rush come outside. Na me put myself for this one.

“Na him e say I go jump for him body. I shock. I say no oo. If you watch the full video, you go see where I dey beg am. I was very reluctant. Him say no oo. Na you come outside o. No spoil my performance. Na him I do am o.

“Make una no vex for me abeg. Like this now Ikechukwu dey vex for me and you know say I dey America, e too far”, she said.
