There Is Hope For Female President And Vice President In Nigeria – DJ Cuppy

Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed hope that Nigeria could one day have both a female President and Vice President.

Her statement comes in response to Namibia’s historic milestone as the first African nation to have women in both top leadership positions.

Sharing her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), DJ Cuppy pointed to Namibia’s achievement as a possible sign of progress for Nigeria.

“Namibia just made history. Africa’s FIRST country with BOTH a female President AND female Vice President. Maybe there’s hope for Nigeria one day after all,” she wrote.

Namibia recently swore in Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as its first female President following her election victory. She is joined by Vice President Lucia Witbooi, marking a groundbreaking moment for the country and the continent.
