Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Obi alleged that if the government had the chance, he believes he might not be alive.

The former Anambra State governor said the federal government is intentionally creating obstacles for him and making it harder for him to carry out his normal activities.

He also claimed that he is being denied benefits and privileges that he believes he is entitled to.

Peter Obi said, “The way they are going… not even as a candidate, I might not even be alive. I’m telling you. Every single thing I do for a living, this government is frustrating it. Deliberately so. Everything.

”So there’s even a possibility that, if they have an opportunity, I will not be alive.

“I get frustrated everyday. Because you do things that you think will be normal, it is no longer normal.

“They won’t come directly and say, ‘oh, we’re doing this’. But you could see their hands in virtually everything.

“They’re attacking everybody who is in opposition — personally. I am being attacked personally. Everything. Even to provide me with necessary things that I should have been entitled to.”

Obi recalled an incident at the Lagos airport where his vehicle was clamped for allegedly parking in the wrong place, despite other cars being parked in the same area without facing similar action.

He also said some airport workers and people he knows there have become reluctant to greet or associate with him because they fear they could attract unwanted attention from the government.
