Daddy Freeze Distances Himself From KC Luxury After Arrest Over Cocaine Possession

Media personality Daddy Freeze has denied having any personal relationship with Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as KC Luxury, who was recently arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

KC Luxury was arrested by NDLEA officials on August 13, 2026, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while he was preparing to travel to Paris.

The agency had linked him to an alleged international cocaine trafficking operation after 184.5kg of hard drugs was reportedly seized from a courier facility in Lagos earlier in August.

The drugs were estimated to be worth between $27 million and $28 million and were said to have been destined for the United Kingdom and other countries.

Following news of the arrest, Daddy Freeze addressed the issue saying he did not know KC Luxury personally.

The media personality explained that he only became aware of the suspect after hearing about the arrest and subsequently searching for information about him online.

Daddy Freeze also urged people to be more careful when assessing public figures, noting that appearances can sometimes be misleading.

He said he had to conduct his own research after the arrest because he was unfamiliar with KC Luxury.

“I don’t know who KC Luxury is. So I had to start doing some digging,” Daddy Freeze said.
