Nigerian dancer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has been charged in the United Kingdom over allegations including attempted rape and assault by penetration.

The charges were confirmed to PUNCH by Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on Wednesday.

According to the court, Poco Lee faces five charges including one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

The court also said a reporting restriction has been placed on the case to protect the identity of the complainant, in line with UK law.

James Baker, the court’s Admin Team Leader, confirmed the details in an email to PUNCH.

Baker wrote, “The defendant has been charged with: Attempted rape, 2x Rape, 2x Assault by penetration.”

He added, “There is a reporting restriction on the case provided. This order protects the anonymity of the complainant under section 1 of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 1992.”

He said the case had been scheduled for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.

Poco Lee is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on that date as the legal proceedings continue.
