The ugly drama started when Ugwuanyi and some of his colleagues went to Nsukka Local Government Council to compel some street traders to relocate to the newly completed Building Materials Market in the area when an argument ensued between the officers and the traders who refused relocation.
Ugwuanyi then fired a shot which hit Onah who was just walking out of a restaurant where he had gone to eat. The traders became very angry and started to stone Ugwuanyi. When he was rushed to the hospital, doctors confirmed him dead.
Late Onah was married and had six children. He hailed from Ibagwa-Aka community in Igboeze South Local Government Area, and had just relocated from the North-East due to Boko Haram attacks.
May their souls rest in peace.
