The leaders of Academic Staff Union (ASUU) reportedly walked out during their meeting with the representatives of the Federal Government.
The government resumed talks with the lecturers on Monday, December 17, 2018, in order to end the ongoing strike.
However, according to Pulse, the meeting involving the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige and other government representatives as well as ASUU members was not successful as lecturers reportedly staged a walkout from the meeting.
