Fake blind beggars who were using rented kids to beg for alms in Onitsha, Anambra State, has been released and given N50k each to start a new life by the State’s Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue.
On November 23, 2018, a task force team of Anambra Ministry of Women Affairs, Social welfare and Children Development arrest a group of women, who are mostly from Ebonyi, Abia, Kogi, and Imo state that camps and begs along the Onitsha Army Barracks are fakes.
