UPDATE: Arrested Fake Blind Beggars Regains Freedom, Get N50k Each To Start A New Life – See Photos

Fake blind beggars who were using rented kids to beg for alms in Onitsha, Anambra State, has been released and given N50k each to start a new life by the State’s Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue.

On November 23, 2018, a task force team of Anambra Ministry of Women Affairs, Social welfare and Children Development arrest a group of women, who are mostly from Ebonyi, Abia, Kogi, and Imo state that camps and begs along the Onitsha Army Barracks are fakes.

It was discovered that the women fake blindness and use rented kids to beg for alms. None of them are from Anambra State. Read the report HERE.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, released and empowered the seven fake blind beggars yesterday, December 4, 2018,

Among the gifts presented to the ex-destitute by the Commissioner were cartons of noodles, bags of rice, laundry products, beverages, and yards of wrappers, as well the sum of fifty thousand Naira to start off their desired small scale business.
