A corpse of an unidentified young has been found by residents of Onitsha area in Anambra State after a heavy rainfall that occurred yesterday.
It is alleged that the deceased was swept away during the heavy rainfall round Ochanja area.
The residents are blaming the government for the bad road at Ochanja area where the incident occurred as they say it has done more harm than good to the people of Onitsha since the last 10 years.
The Facebook user Candy Blanche who shared the bad news, wrote:
“This always happens yearly, pls if u don’t know Ochanja very well, especially the gutters pls stay anywhere you’re once it starts raining heavily cos it kills people yearly, the rain even destroy shops, cars and keke cos wen u see gutter u won’t know it been covered by water and u will put leg. rip dear.”
The Anambra state government should please fix this problem of dilapidated roads to save the people and residents from this kind of disaster.
