Senator George Akume has reportedly led youths of The All Progressives Congress (APC) to destroy all campaign billboards and posters of Governor Samuel Ortom and other Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidates in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
Terve Akase, the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Samuel Ortom, sharing the pictures, revealed that the angry defeated lawmaker has taken to the streets with his thugs destroying billboards and posters of Ortom and other members of PDP.
George Akume, a former Governor of Benue State, lost his senatorial seat to Orker Jev of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), during the National Assembly election on Saturday.
Announcing the Benue Zone B result on Wednesday, the Returning Officer for the election, Prof Nicodemus Ochani, said Akume of the APC polled 115,422, while Jev of PDP got 157,726 votes to win the contest.
