A Zambian woman identified as Bana Joe from Kitwe area has been accused of poisoning her stepson to death after asking for food.
According to Koswe, the woman is alleged to have killed the young boy named Joe because she was tired of preparing meals for the 4 years old child.
Eyewitnesses revealed to Koswe that the boy was poisoned as his stomach looked swollen and white substances were coming out of his nose at the time they discovered his corpse.
At the time when Joe was killed, his father went to look for food for the family. The boy’s body was discovered yesterday morning by women who had gone to wash clothes in a nearby stream.
