Breaking News: Senate Confirms Buhari's Nominee Earlier Rejected In 2016 Under Saraki 1

The Senate on Thursday, approved the nomination of Aliyu Saidu Abubakar as non-executive commissioner of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

His approval comes after the 8th Senate led by Bukola Saraki, had in 2016 rejected his nomination for the post.

Abubakar represents the Northeast geopolitical zone in the commission. He was confirmed on Thursday along with Eng Uba Maska, who was reappointed executive commissioner (North West); Professor Millionaire Abowei, non-Executive director (South South), and Abdulazeez Mohammed Salman (North Central).
