Danish aid worker, Anja Ringgren Loven has rescued another malnourished little boy abandoned by his family in Akwa Ibom State.
Anja gained popularity in 2016 after she rescued a severely emaciated 2-year-old boy, who was branded a witch by his family and left to starve to death in Akwa Ibom.
On Thursday, December 12, 2019, the Humanitarian aid worker shared photos of herself and her husband, David Umem, rescuing another little boy whose health condition is very critical.
“Today just took an unexpected turn. David Emmanuel Umem was called to come for an urgent rescue. I joined him and we just saved this boy. I don’t know if he will survive. His condition is critical. We will update more later…”

Sharing update on Facebook page on Friday, Anja disclosed that the boy has been identified as Saviour, and he is 7-year-old.
According to her, the boy is currently receiving medical treatment and he has tested positive for malaria, typhoid, hemorrhoids and worms, including the ones she cannot give details about.
“As promised, here is a little update about the boy we rescued yesterday.
His name is Saviour and he is 7 years old.“When we brought him to Land of Hope he did not have much strength. He was very weak.
Ernest, one of our senior boys, showered him thoroughly. Then he was given new clothes and a high-protein meal.“After that our two nurses, Ada and Rose, examined him and tested him positive for malaria, typhoid, hemorrhoids and worms. He is now on medical treatment for all of that.
He was also tested positive for other that I cannot go into details about. Today he is going to the hospital for more examinations and treatments.“For now we don’t know much about his case. All we know is that “they” killed his sister. We are working close with the police and that is all I can say.
“Thanks to everyone for your love. We really appreciate all your support ❤️.”
