China has bizarrely accused President Donald Trump of using “witchcraft” to lead fight against coronavirus in the United States.
Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief of China Communist Party’s official publication, Global Times, blamed Trump for the high number of coronavirus death in the US.
Xijin claimed the White House would be “burned down” by the public if it were in China as the US death toll topped to 90,000.
“President Trump is leading the US’s struggle against pandemic with witchcraft, and as a result, more than 90,000 people have died. If it were in China, the White House would have been burned down by angry people,” Hu Xijin said in a now-deleted tweet.

Xijin’s comments comes after President Trump revealed that he has been taking antimalarial drug ‘hydroxychloroquine’ to prevent himself from contracting the coronavirus disease despite medical warnings about the use of the malaria drug.
