Nigerian singer, Idahams has been arrested by the police at Lekki Toll Gate for being a participant of the #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest in Lagos State.
Idahams was arrested on Saturday morning alongside his Disc Jockey, DJ Brightstar, after they both trooped out to join protesters to demonstrate against the the planned reopening of the Lekki toll plaza.
The singer shared a video of himself and the DJ inside a Black Maria, saying they were being transported to an undisclosed location.
“If anything happens to I and my DJ (Brightstar), hold the Lagos state government responsible. We went out to exercise our civil right at the Lekki Toll Gate. We are being carted away to an unknown location in a Black Maria. #EndSARS,” he wrote.
