Nigerian youths have resolved to stage another protest on Saturday over the decision of the Lagos State judicial panel of inquiry to reopen Lekki Toll Gate.
The tollgate has been closed since last year following the alleged shooting and killing of #EndSARS protesters by soldiers and police on October 20, 2020.
However, the Judicial panel on Saturday, February, 6, 2021, voted in support of the reopening of the tollgate by its owners, the Lekki Concession Company (LCC).
Irked by the decision of the panel, Nigerian youths have planned protest again at the tollgate on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 7am.
The angry youths are insisting that the tollgate remains closed until justice is served to the victims of the Lekki shooting.
Many Nigerians have also taken to social media to express their backing for the protest using the hashtag #OccupyLekkiTollGate.
KanyiDaily recalls that four months ago, EndSARS protesters had blocked the Lekki toll gate for over a week, causing a heavy gridlock in the area.
