Kano Hisbah Commander Sacked After He Was Caught In Hotel Room With Married Woman

Sani Rimo was arrested and taken into custody after the husband of the woman with whom he allegedly had affairs filed complaints.

A senior official of the Kano State Hisbah Corps, Sani Rimo, has been sacked by the Islamic police after he was caught in a hotel room with a married woman.

KanyiDaily had reported how Rimo was arrested on February 16, 2021, after he was caught with a married woman inside a hotel room in the red light district of Sabon Gari.

Rimo, who led the campaign against prostitutes in Kano, was arrested and taken into custody after the husband of the woman with whom he allegedly had affairs filed complaints.

However, during an interview with Sahara Reporters on March 10, Hisbah’s communications officer, Nabahani Usman said the embattled officer was not guilty of the accusation because the married woman in question is his daughter.

But a fresh report by Vanguard indicates that the Hisbah Commander was actually sacked after he was nabbed with the married woman at the hotel.

Hisbah Spokesman, Lawal Fagge, confirmed this on Tuesday, May 4, saying the committee which investigated the adultery allegation against Rimo found him guilty.
