An elderly Nigerian beggar has gone viral on social media after he was seen in a viral video giving money to a stranger without realizing that he was being put to a test by the prankster.

In the video, the prankster could be seen approaching the beggar who was sitting by the roadside with an umbrella in his hand to shield himself from the sun.
The prankster then pleaded with the elderly beggar to help him with the sum of N20, so that he can buy water to quench his thirst.
Without hesitation, the beggar reached for his breast pocket and parted with the money which he gave the stranger who begged him.
After a few seconds, the young man returned to the beggar, telling him that it was just a prank as he don’t really need the money.
He thereafter returned the N20 and also offered some money to the beggar who smiled and appreciated the young man.
The video of the encounter has melted the hearts of many people who praised the beggar for being so kind despite his situation.
