Tems has been nominated in the Global Music Star category for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2022.

Nigerian songstress, Tems has been unveiled as one of artistes nominated for the 2022 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award.

The fast-rising singer will be competing against Adele, Camilo, Tones and I, BTS, Rosalia and Olivia Rodrigo in the “Global Music Star” category.

The award show will be airing on Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, via DSTV 308 on April 13, 2022. The premiere will also kick off at 13:30 WAT/14:30 CAT.

Speaking ahead of the award event, the senior vice president and general manager, Paramount in Africa, Monde Twala said: “Tems reminds us of why we set out on a journey to reimagine, reshape and rebrand Africa.”

Tems came into spotlight with songs like “Try Me” and “Mr Rebel” has had quite a number of global hits and collaborations with international artists like Khalid, Drake, to name a few.

KanyiDaily recalls that Tems and Nigerian superstar, Wizkid recently won the Best Collaboration for their hit song “Essence” at the 2021 Soul Train Awards.
