Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has taken to social media to lament over the use of his song ‘Great Nation’ at the presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The ruling party is currently holding its primaries at Eagle Square in Abuja.
Dakolo’s song was played during a solidarity appearance by a group of ace Nigerian entertainers, which included Shina Peters and Danfo Drivers.
Taking to his Twitter page on Tuesday night, the 41-year-old singer wondered why his song will be used at the APC conversion without his permission.
He lamented that people get away with many things in Nigeria, stressing that this is the second time such a thing will be happening without his notice.
Dakolo wrote, “Why Use an Artist Song without their permission in a rally or campaign. The things people get away with in this Country called Nigeria. Actually this is the second time.”
The development comes about six weeks after Timi Dakolo came under fire for performing at the presidential declaration of Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
