Nigerian singer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy has expressed optimism that the country will work in his life time.
Charly Boy, who is 72 years old stated this on his official twitter handle on Monday morning, September 19.
According to him, the country is more than Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, noting that there are over five hundred (500) languages and “we are all EQUAL.”
Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba are the three major languages in the country.
The president of OUR MUMU DON DO organisation has been advocating for good leaders for the country in the 2023 general election.
The singer wrote, “Nigeria is much more than Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba. There are over 500 more and we are all EQUAL. Nigeria will work in my life time.”
Kanyi Daily recalls that Charly Boy officially endorsed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi, recently.
Obi has been receiving massive positive campaigns mostly on social media platforms by youths and top Nigerian celebrities mostly from the southern region of the country.
He is believed to be the only one that can turn the fortunes of Nigeria around given his supposed good governance and prudent management of resources in Anambra when he was the governor of the state.
Obi faces Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bola Tinubu of the All Progresssives Congress (APC) among other candidates for next year’s poll.
