The govovernorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party’s (PRP) in Ogun state, David Bamgbose has died at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, in Abeokuta.

David Bamgbose Is Dead

Bamgbose, a Professor of Education, died after a brief illness on Friday, September 2, a week after he was announced by PRP as its governorship candidate in the state.

According to Punch, Bamgbose’s personal assistant and Asst. Senior Pastor of Peace and Love Church, Mr Oduntan Olayemi, said his principal was complaining of tiredness on Thursday.

“He complained of tiredness yesterday and we decided to take him to an hospital around Olomore. We were referred to the FMC for further checks,” Olayemi said.

“We opted for the state hospital, Lantoro because of the urgency and he was admitted at the emergency ward where he was administered oxygen till today (Friday).

“I got back to the hospital this morning and I saw him breathing too fast and heavy. I was at where I went to get him some prescribed medication that he has passed on.”

The professor, who was formerly in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is survived by Mary, his wife, and six children.

KanyiDaily had also reported that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) suspended its presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu for making a false, misguided and defamatory video, among other infractions.
