Senator Kabiru Gaya’s Son Allegedly Stabbed To Death By Best Friend In Abuja

Senator Kabiru Gaya, the Senator representing Kano South in the Senate, is mourning the death of his son Ibrahim Sadiq Gaya who was allegedly murdered by his best friend.

Late Sadiq, who was a lawyer at Nigerian assets management agency, AMCON, was reportedly murdered in a hotel on Tuesday evening in Abuja.

According to Facebook user Kabiru Ado Muhd;

“Sadiq was invited by his best friend to a hotel in Abuja. He was stabbed in the chest and dumped in the hotel’s pool. The friend took his phone and transferred N20m.”

Sadiq’s murder was reportedly masterminded by a friend over the sum of N3.5million.

Meanwhile, the FCT Police Command’s Spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirming the incident, noted that five suspects, in connection with the murder were in police custody.

Sadiq Gaya, a law graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and graduate of LL.M University in Wales, United Kingdom, was buried immediately according to Islamic rites and is survived by his wife and two children.

In other news, Kano State Police Command has arrested a Chinese man for allegedly stabbing his 23-year-old Nigerian lover, Ummakulsum Sani Buhari, to death at Janbulo quarters, Kumbotso local government area of the state.
