Hunter’s Son Shot Brother Dead

Spokesman of the command, Okasanmi Ajayi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday and posted on his official twitter handle.

Ajayi gave the name of the suspect as Abubakar Abubakar and the deceased, 12-year-old Yusuf Abubakar.

He said, “One Abubakar Abubakar shot his  younger sibling Yusuf Abubakar to death in an attempt  to test  the efficacy of a gun protective charm they procured in Dutse Gogo via Kaiama in Kwara State.”

He said the case was reported on Sunday night.

“This incident happened after fortifying themselves with the protective charm, the elder son brought his father’s Dane gun and shot his younger sibling.

“The charm failed and the 12-year-old Yusuf Abubakar died on the spot. The culprit escaped into the bushes immediately after the act was committed,” the statement partly read.

The police spokesman said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Paul Odama, has directed the commencement of an investigation into the matter.

“Parents and guidance are advised to monitor the activities of their children and avoid doing certain unsavory activities while their children and wards watch to prevent incidents of this nature,” Ajayi stated.

In other news, Kanyi Daily had reported that a 23-Old-Man killed his 90-year-old father over ATM card and buried his corpse in a shallow grave in Kwara State.
