“I’m Not A Public Figure That Cows To Bullying” – Dabiri-Erewa Replies Oby Ezekwesili

The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has replied a former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, who cautioned her against insulting people on social media.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa Replies Oby Ezekwesili

KanyiDaily recalls that Dabiri-Erewa got into a verbal fight with a social media user who slammed her over the recent attack on Nigerian students in an Indian university.

On Monday, reports emerged on social media that some Indian students with weapons are chasing their Nigerian counterparts at GD Goenka University in Gurugam.

Dabiri-Erewa, who reacted to the report via her Twitter page, explained that the incident happened on Saturday, following a football match between African and Indian students, adding that normalcy has been restored.

As netizens continue to discuss the attack on Nigerian students in India, a Twitter user who felt her response was unsatisfactory, went under her tweet to insult her, describing her as a ‘mumu woman’.

Reacting to the insult, Abike-Dabiri fired back, describing the man as ‘Ode’, while thanking the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for saving his likes from death sentence.

Ezekwesili apparently came across Abike-Dabiri’s response and felt it was inappropriate. She urged the NIDCOM boss to “clean up” the messy tweet.

”Dear Abike @abikedabiri, What is this? . Kai. This is messy. Please clean it up. Quickly. Please,” the former minister wrote.

Dabiri-Erewa, in her response to Ezekwesili said, “I’m done on this. But out of respect for you, I will ask, ‘Clean what up?’

“It’s okay for some untrained, uncouth guy to refer to me as ‘mumu’, and I can’t call him ‘ode’. I’m not a public official that cows to bullying, please.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Abike Dabiri-Erewa had recently revealed why some Nigerians are denied entry into Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
